Board Meeting

January 13, 2020

Meeting called to order at 6:25 p.m. Quorum established

231 S. Palo Alto Dr., Floresville, Texas 78114

Board members present: Philip Vipond, President; Art Morgan, 1st Vice President; Charlie Johns, 2nd Vice

President; Theresa Morehous, Secretary; Karen Turner, Treasurer; Brian Morehous, property owner.

Secretary’s report: Minutes were read from November 25, 2019. Motion was made to accept as

read by Charlie Johns and seconded by Karen Turner. Motion passed. 5-0

Treasurer’s report:

Checking balance: $8,163.90; Savings balance$2,529.48

Edward Jones: $35,828.11

Motion made to accept report by Theresa Morehous and seconded by Art Morgan. Motion passed 5-0

OLD BUSINESS:

We are still trying to find a local attorney for the association.

Newsletters were e-mailed and about 60 were mailed.

Proposed 2020 budget was discussed and adjustments made. Philip Vipond made a motion to accept

proposed 2020 budget, Art Morgan seconded. Motion passed. 5-0

Annual general meeting scheduled for Feb 1 at Oak Hills Community Church. Agenda discussed. Two

board positions will be up for election/re-election. Yard sale will be May 2nd. We will also discuss

welcoming committee and getting a chair.

ACC: Dogs on Scenic Oaks has been resolved. Request for fence on Scenic Oak;

18 wheeler has been parking on S Palo Alto Dr. cul-de-sac.

New Business:

A house on S Palo Alto still has a lien on property due to none payment of dues and fees. Property has

paid balance and told Murray Title Company to proceed. We will look into why the lien was not

removed.

A discussion of the transfer fee of $150 was discussed. With the increase of insurance premium we

need to find ways to help balance the expense. Art Morgan made a motion that we increase the

transfer of $150 to $200. Philip Vipond seconded. Motion passed 5-0.

Arrive at Oak Hills Church for general meeting at 9:00 a.m.

Karen will have accounts reviewed.
